Fire Prevention
To prevent outbreak of a fire, the TFD puts effort into ensuring security and safety of the citizens of Tokyo. The TFD members conduct inspections and give fire safety advice for the greater safety of buildings and hazmat facilities. Moreover, they carry forward fire cause investigations and analyses.
Amusement Area Safety
In entertainment districts, there are many small multiple-tenant buildings which tend to violate the Fire Service Law repeatedly due to a big turnaround of the tenants.
Accordingly, to further improve the fire safety of these districts, the TFD members actively conduct on- the-spot inspections and strengthen violation correction guidance. In the Kabukicho area, the Shinjuku Fire Station deploys Inspection Task Forces 24 hours a day.
