Ambulance services began. ( 6 ambulances)
1952
Tokyo Ordinance for fire department’s ambulance services was enacted.
1963
Ambulance services were legislated.
1970
Ambulance siren was changed to electronic sound.
1973
First aid promotion programs began.
1976
Command and Control Center began operating.
1982
A fire occurred at Hotel New Japan. (22 ambulance units responded.)
1982
An aircraft crash occurred at near Haneda Airport.
(32 ambulance units responded.)
1982
EMS Day and EMS Week were created.
1987
Advisory doctors joined the ambulance operations.
1991
Paramedic Law was enacted.

Advanced life support ambulances began operating.
