  • Age
  • Difficulty in breathing, Dyspnea in a child
  • The patient's breath looks shallower and faster than usual?

If you can't find a hospital immediately, or if you have one of the following symptoms, call an ambulance.

The patient cannot breath normally? Color or the patient's face or lips is purple?
The patient lost consciousness? The patient is unresponsive? The patient cannot lie down, walk, or speak?
The patient has slightly elevated skin rash AND the rash is itchy? Before cough, was the patient playing around while eating anything, or holding anything in his/her mouth (especially nuts)?
