Full-time and volunteer Firefighters Education
We provide the initial training (for newly recruited members), the specialized training (for rescuers, paramedics), the executive training (for supervisors), and so on. We also conduct the educational training for volunteer firefighters who play a leadership role in their community.

Promotion on Safety Measures
In order to prevent firefighting and EMS activities from serious accidents, the TFD members analyze causes of accidents and enhances recurrence prevention measures. They promote safety measures to reduce accidents in fire services.
Additionally, they conduct various studies with the scientific point of view, analyze fire causes, secure Tokyo citizens’ life safety and enhance safety in firefighting operations.

Perfect Apparatus for Disaster Scenes
Inspections are given to vehicles and equipment. Besides, the members are in charge of maintenance around the clock so that they can rush to the scene to conduct on-site urgent check/repair for fire companies in case of the mechanical trouble at a disaster scene.
