TFD Service Area

The TFD was established on March 7,1948 as a municipal fire service organization, and protects Tokyo residents' lives and properties (exc. for the island areas and lnagi City).

About 18,600 TFD personnel work at fire and life safety for about 14,000,000 people in the urban and rural areas of about 1,770km² with a lot of high-rise apartment buildings,commercial facilities or mountains.
